Winner of the Juniper Book of the Year announced.

Sadly, this year’s Juniper Book Awards ceremony could not go ahead, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We were hugely disappointed to have to cancel the ceremony and we know everyone who took part was as well. We have delayed announcing all our winners as we were hoping that schools might re-open and we could organise a new date.

However, as we know you are all keen to find out who has won and in order to keep everyone safe, we have decided to organise the Juniper Virtual Book Awards and have planned two days of celebrations that you can all access online. Over the two days you will be able to click and reveal your winners.

Juniper Book Awards

Pupils are invited to read the six shortlisted books and judge which one you consider to be the best. Use this site to find out more about the books, talk and share your thoughts and opinions with other readers across the county, and write reviews.

Designed to inspire reading for pleasure, The Juniper Education Book Awards are open to all primary schools (Years 5 and 6) and secondary schools (Years 7 to 9) in Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Southend and Thurrock. Pupils are invited to read six shortlisted books and judge which one they consider to be the best.

All participating schools will gain access to our Juniper Book Award forum where pupils can write comments and reviews about the books, and interact with pupils from other participating schools as well as the authors*. If you would like your school to take part in the Juniper Education for Schools Book Awards starting in the new academic year (2020/21) please sign up below.
