DBS checks

We can manage your applications with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for your staff, requiring an Enhanced DBS and a child-barred list check.

HR admin is generally routine but essential administrative tasks related to personnel records. This includes everything from recruitment records, employment contracts, pay information, and forms to managing HR documents such as the Single Central Record. Many of these documents are required by law, so they must be up-to-date and correct. 

An employee must have a contract (a Statement of Written Particulars) covering any period of employment. The contract has to be issued for a new contract on or before their first day by law. A contract variation letter can be issued when a contract is varied (under its terms or by agreement). This must be done within one month of the change.

All staff working in a school must have an Enhanced DBS check. An Enhanced DBS check will show spent and unspent convictions and cautions and any information held by local police that’s considered relevant to the role
