Is there a way to try Juniper MIS before using it fully?

Yes. A read-only “taster” version is available within the platform, allowing schools to explore selected reports and limited menu options before fully adopting the MIS.

Does Juniper MIS integrate with third-party systems?

Yes. Juniper MIS integrates via Wonde, which connects with a wide range of third-party providers, including assessment tools and safeguarding systems.

Are MIS integrations free?

Juniper does not charge for MIS integrations. However, Wonde or individual third-party providers may charge their own activation or licence fees.

Who is eligible for the free Juniper MIS?

To access Juniper MIS for free, schools must:

Be a primary school
Be a Juniper customer using an exisiting core Juniper product
Have Priority Support as a minimum support package

Are there limits based on school size or product mix?

Juniper MIS is currently available to primary schools only. Eligibility is based on Juniper customer status and support package, not school size. You can contact our team to discuss your eligibility.

Is Juniper MIS free long term?

Yes. Juniper MIS is free as part of the wider JoinUp proposition.

What data can be migrated from an existing MIS?

Migration depends on the data held in your current system. Our team will be able to discuss the data that can currently be migrated from your existing MIS.

Do MATs get a central dashboard?

Not currently, but we will look to introduce multi-school functionality at a later date as part of our ongoing development plans.

Is Juniper MIS compliant with statutory returns?

Yes. Juniper MIS supports statutory requirements, including Census, Workforce Census and statutory assessment returns.

How is school data protected?

Juniper Education is ISO 27001 compliant, with robust data protection and security practices in place. This gives schools confidence that pupil and staff data is stored and managed securely and responsibly.
